Azilal carpet

This Berber rug was made by a woman from the Berber tribes of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. This rug is believed to have originally been made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. She created it with wool and allowed herself personal freedom by expressing her own creativity and values through North African symbology and colors when she wove these designs. This piece is one of a kind and can be used as a rug or a wall hanging. Newly hand knitted Azilal rug. Ivory background with a very nice pattern in beautiful colors. Medium pile.
