Small Moser Style Pill Bottle In Enameled Blue Glass

Period: ca. 1890-1920 this small round sky blue glass pill box is a fine example of enameled glass. The base has a simple scalloped frieze in gold enamel and the lid has more elaborate decoration of arabesques and a stylized flower. The edges have a thin strip of gold metal trim with a hinge. This is hand blown glass. This and possibly from moser, the famous czech glass decorator/maker. The patina of the gilding and the metal trim also reflect the age of this piece. Condition: good. No damage. Very minor thinning of the enamel in places. Aged patina on the metal edges. Dimensions: 3.5 cm high, 7 cm in diameter.
