Important wedding armoire from the Louis XV period, featuring marquetry and burl, with a façade comprising two doors and a large drawer at the bottom. The piece is distinguished by the richness of its decoration and the choice of highly veined and figured woods, highlighted by moulded frames and marquetry elements. The curved upper rail is adorned with a marquetry frieze, while the central stile also receives an elegant decoration of contrasting woods. The two doors consist of large, shaped panels. They retain beautiful antique hardware in bronze or brass, with lock entries and long decorative fittings. The lower section opens with a wide drawer enhanced by two drop handles and an ornate lock entry. The lower rail, particularly decorative, is shaped and carved with a central shell, scrolls, and curls. The whole rests on curved feet ending in scrolls. The interior, fully lined with red fabric, has been fitted with a wardrobe and shelves, offering significant storage capacity.
