Autumn forest. Size: 45 X 54 cm (including frame) Oil on canvas. A dynamic semi-abstract mid century landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas. The artwork depicts nature in all its glory – with autumnal coloured trees surrounded by lush nature lining the foreground of the painting, a row of mountains in the distance, and a blue sky with some dark clouds filling the top of the work. Semi-abstract in style, the artist has skilfully and very confidently reconstructed this scene down to earthy shades of red, brown, blue, green and grey, as well as swift and expressive brushstrokes that add an invigorating feel to the overall work. This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary cream wooden frame with a deep profile. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
