Rare Sculpture by Tim Orr in Black Ceramic of a reclining female body, Signed and dated on the reverse 1962 Tim Orr moved to Biot in 1960 where he met his wife Jacqueline, herself a renowned sculptor, they worked together for many years. From this superb reclining female nude, with one leg bent, emerges a whole sensuality; from the curves of the body to the protruding lines, the gaze is carried by the play of light reflections of the ceramic glaze. The sculpture is in excellent condition, 2 very light surface scratches (see photo). No cracks or chips.
