The Coconut Chair is a high armchair designed by Streamline designer George Nelson in 1955. Composed of a concave triangular shell upholstered in leather, its organic shape literally recalls that of a broken coconut. It is actually a fragment representing one-eighth of a coconut. The Coconut Chair is an iconic piece of the Streamline movement of the 1950s. The pieces are in very good condition. Some rare signs of wear. The leather is in excellent condition, supple and rich. The chrome of the legs shows some very slight pitting.
