Massenet wine carafe in Saint-Louis cut crystal size 4147 H35

This superb Massenet carafe is a creation of the Saint-Louis Crystal Manufacture. It is a beautiful wine carafe for decanting and serving wine according to the rules of the art. The "Massenet" model was created in 1895 and is still in the SAINT-LOUIS catalog. As with the glasses of this model, the carafe is decorated with the 4147 cut with its crossed bevels and cut palmettes. Perfectly transparent and of high quality, the cut is rich and fine, made with a wheel. In very good condition, it measures 35 cm in height X 11.5 cm in diameter. This carafe is not signed and the stopper does not appear to be original but fits well (different number) - it has a chip at the base. I note scratches from use.
