Antique glass cooler in silver metal - corbeille verrière à glace

This superb and rare glass cooler is made of silver metal. Of good quality, this basket is embellished with notches at the edge to slide the feet of the glasses. It is a glass roof: the glasses were immersed in ice water to keep the beverage at the right temperature... The goldsmith's hallmark is illegible. In good condition, it measures 34 cm X 10.5 cm X 20.5 cm. I report scratches and traces of oxidation. Flutes are sold separately.
