Candlestick sculpture in perforated iron clover motif

🕯️ Sculptural black perforated iron candlestick, in the style of Mathieu Matégot, circa 1955. A rare modernist piece in openwork metal with a clover motif, typical of French design of the 1950s. The matte black wrought iron tripod structure supports a perforated basket and a vertical arm adorned with circular trays, evoking the balance between sculpture and functional art object. ⚙️ Description: Welded and black-painted wrought iron, clover motif identical to that of the Matégot and Artimeta workshops. French work, probably handcrafted, inspired by post-war design and the Brutalist movement. Uniform patina, solid welding, stable structure.
