Old silver metal tray

Beautiful rectangular serving tray in silver-plated metal with stylized acanthus leaf handles and gadrooned frieze around the edge. Presence of the goldsmith's mark, gabriel gay. Very nice size, elegant and timeless. This everyday object is over 100 years old and is not in its first use; he is in his juice. Presence of micro scratches from use, shocks and scrapes. Darker oxidation spots. Some defects on the frieze framing the top. The silver metal shows signs of wear on the edges and reveals the gold of the brass.
