A vase designed by Rudolf Schrotter, created in the 1930s for the Inwald Glassworks in Czechoslovakia, representing exemplary Central European art déco glass. Made of semi-transparent glass, coloured in a cool amethyst purple, which subtly deepens towards the solid, thick-walled base. The smooth, hourglass silhouette with a delicate waist and precisely pressed geometric oval motifs and vertical grooves creates a harmonious, sculptural form. The glossy surface highlights the clarity of the glass and the dynamics of light reflections, and the lack of visible seams or imperfections testifies to the high quality of craftsmanship.
