Very beautiful decanter/ewer, old (unknown period), napoleon iii, cut crystal body, gilded brass collar and spout (old silver plating, christofle?) claped with handle (functional) and handle (broken). Body cut/engraved with geometric patterns, faceted diamonds, collar and beak ornamented with reliefs repelled with foliage. The handle of the flap looks like a small stylized marine animal, initials are engraved on a medallion on the front of the collar "jb" (?). 28cm max height, 26cm without the flap handle. Diameter, about 13cm at the widest, thick circular foot. Body in very good condition, slight marks of time (superficial scratches and tiny chips barely visible) and very discreet dirt, a little dirt inside at the bottom. Beak collar and claped brass lighter very shiny some small very discreet stripes as well as some remains of silver plating (remaining present inside, inner edge of the blackened beak, but is not so closed). Finally, the handle of the neck is broken it lacks all the lower part, the top is desoldered in 2 parts, it is however possible to reweld it and use it as is. It remains a magnificent piece of showcase and collection. About 2kg. Unsigned.
