A rare and sculptural lidded glass vessel, known in Swedish as a Godisgömma ("candy hideaway"), designed by Bertil Vallien for Boda Glasbruk in 1966. This striking example belongs to Vallien's celebrated Blue Series and is distinguished by its exceptional azure blue colour, a far less common variation that beautifully showcases the depth and luminosity of Swedish art glass. The vessel is formed from a series of softly rounded, stacked rings culminating in an elegant finial, creating a sculptural silhouette that reflects Vallien's early exploration of organic forms. While originally conceived as a decorative candy jar, the piece transcends its utilitarian purpose, functioning equally well as a sculptural object. Its rich colour, balanced proportions, and tactile form make it a sophisticated addition to both mid-century and contemporary interiors. Designed in 1966 and produced by Boda Glasbruk, this Godisgömma is a fine example of Swedish studio glass from the 1960s, combining artistic expression with exceptional craftsmanship. Condition: Very good. No chips, cracks, or visible damage. The original cork insert inside the lid is secure and intact.
