Glazed terracotta planter, in the style of Keller & Guérin Lunévi

Superb Art Nouveau planter in reddish-brown glazed terracotta, decorated with raised plant decorations in ribbed cartouches. The naturalistic motifs (lily of the valley flowers, stylized foliage) clearly evoke the productions of Keller & Guérin in Lunéville around 1895–1910, in the tradition of modeled earthenware with slip decoration. The glossy glaze highlights the relief work and emphasizes the curved lines characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. A quality decorative piece, typical of late 19th-century French manufacturers (in the style of K&G, Mont-Chevalier or Onnaing). Unsigned Condition: See photos.
