Maria Pergay steel and brass dining table Gerbe 1970

This dining table is a rare variation of the iconic gerbe design by french artist maria pergay, dated 1970. It is composed of a bundle of flat, arched blades in polished steel, brushed steel, and polished brass, upon which is mounted an oval-shaped slab of gray smoked glass. The sinuous curves of the materials evoke a fluidity and movement that add a dynamic, sculptural element to the piece, and play with the light. The smoked glass top has been replaced and could stand to be even larger.
