DESCRIPTION: A beautiful and rare modernist vase from the Zeller Keramik factory in West Germany, designed by Georg Schmider in the 1950s. This vase is part of the 1818 Dekor and is form 4166. This series, with its modern colours, lines, and organic shapes, is completely hand-painted. Few pieces from this series are found, making them rare and sought after by collectors. About Zeller Keramik: Founded in 1794, Zeller Keramik is one of the oldest ceramics factories in Germany. Although the factory became world-famous with the 'Hahn und Henne' (Rooster and Hen) tableware, they also produced many modern decorative objects like this vase in the mid-20th century. During this period, the factory was run by the Haiss family, descendants of Georg Schmider. DIMENSIONS: Height: 11cm, Diameter: 9cm, Opening diameter: 3cm. CONDITION: Almost perfect condition.
