Pair of bedside tables — Art Deco style — Solid black stained oak

Pair of solid oak bedside tables, Art Deco period, 1930s, stained through the mass in black and finished with a shellac varnish, revealing the natural grain of the wood beneath the dark finish. Each piece features a tripartite structure: a top drawer with a chrome knob, a central open niche, and a lower compartment closed by a moulded panel door with a round chrome metal handle. The uprights are adorned with vertical fluted mouldings; the feet adopt a geometric stepped shape characteristic of the Art Deco vocabulary. The assembly, visible at the back in natural unpainted wood, confirms a traditional handcrafted construction with applied panels. The finish is entirely original, with mass staining and shellac varnish. Restored condition. Dimensions per unit: H. 73 cm — W. 34 cm — Approx. weight 10 kg. Sold as a pair.
