Antique teapot/coffee pot, silver-plated, Christofle house – A499

Elegant antique teapot (or jug) in silver-plated metal from the prestigious French silversmith Christofle. Under its base, the piece bears the official period hallmarks of the Christofle manufacture, allowing it to be dated between 1862 and 1935. This classic style model features a curved silhouette in a baluster shape resting on a discreet pedestal. The domed lid is topped with a stylised finial. The handle and spout bring a beautiful harmony to the whole with their curved and moulded lines. In good condition, with a lovely overall shine. This antique piece has some small dents/light impacts from use (visible depending on the light) as well as fine micro-scratches, which are normal and testify to its authenticity and history.
