Scandinavian ceramic plates Arabia, Finland 1970

These small plates, two 20 cm and two 16 cm, were designed by the famous finnish designer inkeri leivo (1944-2010) for the brand arabia in the 1970s. Their line is pure, simple but studied: slightly hollow, they interlock with each other. An original relief and a seventies décor with large colored discs on the marli. The blue model, called meri, is particularly beautiful, very scandinavian, going from peacock blue to duck blue depending on the lighting and raised with brown / brown black (also recalling the color palette of the designer sarah lavoine). The other model, salla, is more discreet: linen background, taupe gray lines. They are like new, smooth and shiny. A dense and solid earthenware, ultra chic, quality design made in finland!.
