Nested copper tables by Herbert Hirche for Rosenthal, Germany, 1970s.

This rare set of two tables by Herbert Hirche is based on a design from 1956 for Christian Holzäpfel and was produced in a very limited edition by Rosenthal in the 1970s. The glossy tops are made up of circles and squares in different sizes, arranged in a "random" manner to form fascinating mosaics, resting on black metal structures.
