Stoneware jug by Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot

Large Jug / Stoneware Pitcher (30 cm) – Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot. This large stoneware jug, standing 30 cm tall, is a major sculptural piece by the ceramicist couple Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot, crafted in their historic workshop at the Château de Ratilly (Puisaye). With its generous dimensions, this pitcher transcends its simple utilitarian function to become a true decorative work of art. Originating from their production in the 1960s, it perfectly illustrates the revival of French art pottery during the Mid-Century period. In excellent condition, no chips.
