Designed in 1972 by Richard Sapper, the Tizio 50 desk lamp is now an icon of design, featured in the permanent collection of the MOMA. The Tizio has two articulated arms and an adjustable head, all balanced by a varnished aluminium counterweight. The innovation lies in the design of its manufacturing: a transformer located in the base of the lamp reduces the voltage from 230 to 12V and powers a halogen source through rods and push buttons that serve as current conductors. Topped with its rare steel base, it has a height from the foot to the switch of 79cm and up to 145cm to the lamp head. Model TIZIO 50, with a new lamp head purchased from Voltex. Some signs of use but the lamp is in perfect working condition. Dispatched disassembled in secure Colissimo.
