Very beautiful two-seater sofa in the Louis XIII style, from the Napoleonic III period, in blackened wood. Lovely solid wood structure with very ornate crosspieces and stretchers in "sheep's bone", curved legs and scrolled armrests. A particularly decorative model, representative of the 19th-century historicist taste for furniture inspired by the Renaissance and the Louis XIII style. The upholstery has been redone and is covered in a geometric patterned fabric in ecru, grey, pink, and yellow tones.
