Description
Originally, what was called a "dame-jeanne" was a glass container in the shape of a bottle or large bottle that could contain oil, vinegar, wine and other liquids of all kinds. The word "dame-jeanne" would initially come from a persian city named "damghan" (known for its manufacture of glass objects). The word then traveled the countries and it was in the eighteenth century that it ended up taking a humorous turn by becoming "dame-jeanne". This type of vase is making a comeback in the 21st century and is becoming an essential decoration trend! Sold in the state, lady jeanne dating from the late 19th century.
