Farm table in solid wood – Auvergne, around 1900

Antique farmhouse table made of solid wood, originating from peasant craftsmanship in Auvergne around 1900. It rests on four straight legs connected by lateral stretchers, ensuring excellent stability. The rectangular top, made of joined planks, features beautiful irregularities and signs of use that reflect its domestic life and give it all its charm. The apron is simple, without decoration, true to the utilitarian and functional spirit of rural Auvergne furniture. During a previous restoration, risers were added to the legs to provide a comfortable height, perfectly suited to contemporary seating and uses.
