Marc Roussel Vase 80's

Very beautiful turned stoneware vase, ovoid in shape, matte blue background, decorated with organic shapes in blue, white and gold enamels, signed, circa 1980. Very good used condition. Height: 25cm - neck and base diameter: 8cm - body diameter: 17cm - weight: 3kg. With a prestigious workshop, marc roussel, a remarkable artist and teacher, was a master of ceramists in the 1950s, influenced by byzantine art, he inspired the creations of françois lembo, his son-in-law who worked alongside him. His work is increasingly appreciated today.
