In this advertisement, you will find a magnificent antique Cadogan porcelain teapot, also known as a puzzle pot. It is a Chinese blue and white porcelain vessel in the shape of a globular ewer/wine pot. This type of teapot is unique because it has no lid and is filled through a hole at the base. The teapot fills by being turned upside down and pouring the liquid into a hidden internal channel that uses a vacuum seal to prevent splashes when in an upright position. Made in China during the Guangxu period, at the end of the 19th century. The teapot is in very good antique condition. For any further questions regarding this piece, please feel free to contact me.
