These are my latest illustrations of this stylist. History: hanae mori is a japanese fashion designer born on january 8, 1926 in yoshika, kanoashi. She is the first asian to benefit from the strict name of "haute couture". The designer was one of the first women to pursue a career in fashion in japan. Career: hanae mori opened her first studio in 1951 in shinjuku, tokyo and in the years that followed made costumes for hundreds of films. She imposed her creations on the directors of japanese cinema and was quickly considered one of the best costume designers. In 1960, with more than 700 creations, she received the "japan's editor's club" award. Fascinated by the world of haute couture, she flies to new york and paris where she meets, coco chanel, during a fitting session on rue cambon.
