M.501 Frattini Sideboard for Bernini
Description
Large sideboard designed by the Italian Gianfranco Frattini for the manufacturer Bernini, 1957. Structure and veneer in rosewood. Grain and color of the particularly elegant Rio rosewood, it creates a fine pattern with many deep nuances due to the essence of this wood. The front opens in three shutters like vertical wooden curtains. The three closed shutters allow the uniqueness of the piece of furniture and perfect elegance. The left compartment, once pulled out, has a series of 4 drawers with oval handles typical of Frattini furniture. In these are provided storage systems for cutlery (household at the time). Possibility of removing the molded mats. The base, lined with bands designed in an arch, emphasize the rounded piece of furniture. The primary storage function is largely well thought out and exploited. Its condition is consistent with its age, it has signs of use. This is a very beautiful iconic piece of Italian design from the 50s that would look wonderful in a tasteful interior.
