Maralunga Sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina, 1980s

Vintage Cassina Maralunga 2-seater sofa, designed in 1973 by Vico Magistretti, in need of restoration. The sofa is specifically offered as a restoration project and should be reupholstered. Significant signs of age and wear are present. The upholstery is thin/flat in places. The fabric is stained ( has one hole. The foam in the knee area of the frame (under the cushions) is partially missing. You can feel the metal frame. Please see the detailed photos. The backrest mechanism works. Nevertheless, the sofa has lost none of its comfort. Non-smoker piece. The sofa features foldable backrests to allow for various seating positions. Cassina labeled the first models only with a sticker, which has been lost over the years. Height in low position: 70 cm; height in high position: 100 cm. Depth: 85 cm; width: approx. 160 cm.
