Extra large walnut sideboard 1950s – William Watting Modernord

A beautiful extra large walnut sideboard designed by Danish designer William Watting for Modernord, The Netherlands, 1950s. This symmetrical piece features two elegant tambour doors, a set of four drawers, and two cabinets. It is made of walnut with graceful curved sides and brass legs. The largest sideboard from this series, it is very hard to find. The two tambour doors each have two shelves behind them, while the two other cabinets with darker doors each have one shelf. The two cabinet doors were made by a carpenter in walnut veneer, as the originals were missing. The sideboard is part of a modular line, custom-built for clients, and retains the original card with model and client details on the back. It is in very good condition, refinished while keeping signs of age and usage, and includes one key for the tambour doors.
