Bauhaus tubular steel set, round table and chair by mart stam, 1930s

This bauhaus style set was produced in the 1930s in czechoslovakia. The set consists of a round table and one chair (s43) designed by mart stam. The furniture is made of chrome tubular steel and wood and was manufactured probably by thonet or one of the other manufacturers under their license (such as slezak or mucke melder). The wood has been painted with polyurethane varnish in the original turquoise color, the chrome elements are in original condition with a visible patina.
