2 Vicario armchairs by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, plastic, 1970s

Two icons of Italian Space Age design by Artemide. This 1970 Vicario model is characterised by its flowing, organic form and is on display in major museums such as MoMA in New York. With its sweeping, low-slung design, the Vicario is the lounge chair version with a seat height of 37 cm. The armchairs are made entirely from solid-coloured plastic, making them suitable for use on the terrace or in the garden. The pair has been sanded down and given a glossy finish in the original brown shade.
