Small "MTP" drawer unit by Marian Grabinski for IKEA, 1963

A charming and elegant IKEA chest of drawers, designed as a wedding gift for Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA. Made from natural oak veneer, it features solid oak edges, limiting damage. Note its balanced, square shape, evenly spaced drawers, creating visual harmony, and raised legs, giving it a light and airy feel. It has acquired a beautiful warm color over time and is in excellent condition, apart from minimal wear. Kamprad liked this model so much that in 1963, it was available in all IKEA stores under the MTP brand. And for good reason: it's a fine example of mid-century Scandinavian design, with its clean lines and lack of ornamentation, which emphasize its form and function.
