Vintage wall mirror with a sculptural, scalloped pine frame, circa 1970s. The frame is cut in an irregular wave pattern along all four sides, with pointed, cusped corners and mitred joints. It is stained in a warm orange-amber tone that shows the grain well. Small black lacquered accents are set along the inner edge of the frame, giving it a hand-crafted, slightly brutalist character in the spirit of French and Scandinavian pieces of the period. The mirror glass is clear and sits in a rebate. The back is closed with a solid wooden backing board and fitted with a single brass hanging eyelet. Materials: pine (stained), mirror glass, wooden back panel. Dimensions: height 46 cm, width 36 cm. Condition: good vintage condition with a sound, stable frame and a good finish. The mirror glass has light age-related spotting and some cloudiness The back shows signs of age and some old stain drips. Normal wear consistent with age and use.
