Oyster service Moulin des Loups – 8 plates and 2 dishes, 1970s

Very elegant oyster service from the 1970s, signed Moulin des Loups (Orchies, France). It consists of 10 pieces in fine earthenware: 8 plates and 2 large serving dishes. The dishes each have 14 compartments. The plates have 7, including one in the centre, practical for half a lemon, a sauce, or samphire. The relief decoration of shells stands out in a moss green gradient, fading to a bright white with subtle grey-green nuances. The effect is very successful on a festive table, for oysters as well as various seafood. The pieces bear the manufacturer's mark on the back ("Grand fire decoration – Dishwasher safe – Made in France"). Very good overall condition for a set over 50 years old: it shows only very slight signs of use, including a small chip in the glaze on the edge of one plate (see photo).
