Ancient door fronton in solid wood

This pretty door pediment is old and is made of solid wood. It is covered with a glossy black paint with some details in silver paint. The back has not been painted and is therefore still in raw drink. You can easily strip it in order to recover its original wood: either to paint it another color, or to leave it as it is, with a varnish or not!? It will adorn your "old-style" door tops, but why not also place it at the top of a headboard, a library cabinet, a window etc etc??
