XXL black marmorite saucer suspension, Italy circa 1970.

Sublime and extremely rare Italian XXL pendant light from around 1970, probably by the Stilnovo company. The model consists of a saucer-shaped shade made of black marmorite, also known as black glass (glass tinted throughout, polished on its inner face and ribbed on its outer face, opaque, changing colour in the light, here in fuchsia tones) with a diameter of 65 cm, topped with a slightly tarnished chrome metal cone. The whole is suspended by a cable (heavy weight) fixed to a 12 cm diameter chrome and gold brass ceiling rose. The light fixture can be adjusted in height up to 85 cm. In excellent condition (no chips, cracks, or scratches), ultra high quality, this exclusive light will add ultimate chic to a large entrance hall or a designer kitchen above the dining area.
