This petite Danish teak dresser was made by Svenstrup Møbler in Denmark in the 1960s. Its compact proportions and carefully executed details showcase the quality of Danish mid-century craftsmanship. It can also serve as a very practical nightstand. Overall size is H: 54 / W: 69 / D: 30 cm. The dresser features two spacious drawers with beautifully selected teak veneer, creating a continuous and harmonious grain across each front. The drawer fronts are joined using dovetail joints, a demanding traditional woodworking technique that demonstrates the quality of craftsmanship. Particularly unusual are the solid teak legs positioned at the sides of the cabinet rather than underneath it. Their distinctive inverted-V shape and decorative, carefully joined at the corners, profiled teak moldings give the dresser a strong architectural character. It will become a great vintage accent in every contemporary space. Additional dimensions: - internal drawers' height: 7 cm, - ground clearance: 30 cm. The chest is in excellent vintage condition, cleaned and rejuvenated with layers of Danish oil. It has minor signs of use that only contribute to its character. The original Svenstrup Møbler manufacturer’s label has been preserved on the back, confirming the piece’s Danish origin and provenance.
