Green velvet toad sofa

The generous basket-shaped silhouette of this sofa, its enveloping backrest and sculpted armrests testify to the bourgeois refinement of the Second Empire. Upholstered in warm green velvet, it brings an aristocratic presence and a bold touch of colour to any interior. Materials: the structure is made of dark-stained solid wood, hand-carved with characteristic leafy motifs of the Napoléon III style. The green velvet offers a silky touch and a luxurious visual effect. The base is adorned with twisted khaki fringe trimmings, either original or faithfully restored in the spirit of the era. Features: the gondola-shaped backrest embraces the seat in a continuous and rounded movement, typical of Second Empire salon sofas. The sculpted console armrests curve elegantly forward. Renovation: the armrests and legs of the sofa have been lightly sanded to clean them. The entire sofa has then been thoroughly cleaned.
