Very pretty cup or tumbler since it has no handle, in handcrafted ceramic. It is signed below a flower (or mulberry leaf) and the number 9. This is the signature of gustave reynaud and his wife micheline who, on the advice of jean derval (brother-in-law of gustave, who even helping them with enamelling and graphic decorations at the beginning), created their ceramic house-workshop in 1955 called “le mûrier” in vallauris. This workshop closed its doors in 1982, but we can date this cup from before 1972, the year when the “drawn” mulberry leaf was replaced by a mention “le mûrier” (in the stamp) and/or vallauris. The typical decor and technique confirm this signature. This cup is in very good condition, no cracks or chips, perhaps a few tiny chips on the rim, but which may be original. It measures 8.5 cm in height and 9 cm in diameter.
