Service for orangeade in Sèvres crystal

Orangeade service in sèvres crystal mate with acid, with six glasses and its carafe. The décor was drawn in negative on the room by means of a bitumen-based varnish, then the pieces immersed in a hydrofluoric acid bath biting the unprotected parts. In this case, we obtain frosted patterns contrasting with the transparency of the crystal left "in reserve", bringing to the service very beautiful play of light. Invented in the seventeenth century, this technique will be used on a large scale only in the mid-nineteenth century. Perfect condition. Signed.
