Vintage Wall Wooden Shelf / Mid Century Mail Organizer / Key Holder

Vintage wall hanging display from mid century. This wooden organizer shelf was probably made in Yugoslavia in the 50s or 60s from solid wood. I don't know what kind of wood this is, but it's very light - it's probably spruce or pine. This handmade wall shelf for mail and keys is a truly exceptional piece, one that is rarely found. I have not been able to find out the exact origin, but I assume that it was used in the reception of a small hotel or inn with rooms. The small plates with numbers are made of porcelain and are originally old, while I replaced the hooks with new metal ones, as the previous ones were broken. The storage shelf has 4 compartments for letters. In modern use, each family member can have their own compartment for storing a mobile phone, wallet, etc. The bottom hooks are made of strong metal and can be used to hang clothes or keys. The very rare mid century piece of wall furniture has been carefully cleaned and coated with natural oil. Dimensions. • Width: 52 cm. • Height: 29.5 cm. • Depth: 13 cm. • Weight: 1.3 kg.
