Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Planes" Vintage Expressive Landscape Oil Painting, Framed

A beautifully textured and atmospheric mid-century landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas. The painting presents a vast landscape, that is partially snow-covered, and with areas of brown soil and greenery exposed. The artist has used planes of contrasting soothing colours to create a dynamic visual experience, as well as to demonstrate depth and width to the painting. The use of the impasto technique – where thick bold strokes of paint have been applied such the paint stands proud from the surface, adds texture and a tactile quality. This oil on canvas is framed in a deep profile cream frame which suits the painting very well. There are very minor scuffs to the frame corners, but the overall appearance is still very good.
