Burleigh Staffordshire "Calico" Blue English Dish 21st Century

Rectangular blue calico dish in superb condition. Some stains to report on the back of the dish but the interior is perfect. With a rich and complex history this factory has been open since 1889. The production of burleigh requires unique skills and experience that is not found anywhere else in the world. To decorate the earthenware, engraved copper rollers are used by fabric transfer to bring to life the iconic archival designs. The only potters in the world to still use this technique.
