4 Fischel Wissembourg bistro chairs from the 1930s

Set of 4 bistro chairs in curved wood from the 1930s by Fischel in Wissembourg. A refined version of model No. 97 1/2 from 1929, No. 379 1/2 was only produced between 1934 and 1938 (where it reappeared briefly, but with two side bars and only for the English market). It is therefore a rare edition, particularly stylish with its gendarme hat backrest, and ordered with optional side reinforcements (intended for professionals), with a laminated relief wood background. Superb arching of the back wood. Today, we hardly find bistro sets this old (1930s) and of such beautiful quality, such beautiful lines... And in such condition, in their original patina.
