A set of six, french porcelain, game dinner plates. Sumptuously ornate with gorgeous "gilded" edge borders. The perfect gift for anyone who enjoys hunting and cooking their quarry. These exquisite, stylish plates would look wonderful displayed in a hunting lodge/country manor setting. Each plates measures 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter. There are six different designs on the six plates (one each of pairs of wild boar, hares, deer, pheasant, partridge and duck, illustrated in their natural habitats.) the colours and details of the illustrations are incredibly accurate and realistic. Beautiful landscapes, in an autumnal palette that is timelessly elegant. They are all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and they all have a "porcelaine, france" mark on the undersides. There is a microscopic amount of wear to the gilding and motifs, barely detectable, it in no way detracts from their functionality or beauty.
