This impressive armchair with a headrest was designed by Torbjørn Afdal and made in Norway by Bruksbo Nesjestranda Møbelfabrik during the 1960s. The armchair has an organic silhouette characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern designs. It is a rare model, catalogued under the Master name. The wooden frame is made of solid elm. The upholstery is a vibrant coral orange, making this armchair a focal point in any interior. Due to its raised and curved headrest, this type of armchair is known as a wing chair or wingback chair. It is one of the most comfortable types of armchairs. This model was assigned based on archival documentation from the Nesjestranda Møbelfabrik catalogue. The armchair is in very good condition, with a natural patina and minor abrasions and scuffs on the fabric. There is a fabric defect on the underside of the cushion (not visible when in use). The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in the living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
