Elegant glazed stoneware vase with digital decoration enhanced with shades of blue. Signed by the ceramist Jean Tessier (1931-2020), this vase, dated 1998, presents a beautiful balance between raw material and the subtlety of the glazes. Dimensions: Height: 21 cm. Diameter: 11 cm. Perfect condition: no chips, cracks, or missing pieces. The exposed terracotta at the neck is original, as it was not covered by the glaze during firing. Therefore, there are no defects such as breaks or cracks. Jean Tessier, a French ceramist active from the late 20th century, is renowned for his glazed stoneware pieces with rich textures and abstract or digital decorations. Her work is distinguished by a great freedom of expression in its use of materials, blending spontaneous gesture with technical mastery, and employing often understated yet profound color palettes, particularly in blues, earth tones, and oxides. Her works, always unique, reflect a constant exploration of form, texture, and light. Additional information and photos available upon request.
