Aluminor brass ufo table / desk lamp 1950

Heavy brass ufo table / desk lamp by aluminor - mid century modern 1950-60. Beautiful desk lamp in full brass. This lamp has no real name but is referred to as "ufo" because of its shape and looks. The shade with off center opening and translucent stripe really looks like a flying saucer. In overall very good condition. Very little signs of time & usage. No dents or visible scratches. André lavigne founded aluminor in nice at the côte d'azur in 1950. In the first years he produced camera shutters but later became specialized in lighting parts. Specs: Height: 50cm. Shade: ø 33cm.
